PERSONAL PROJECT: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Bruce Gilden is a member of the Magnum photo agency and a famous street photographer who mainly works in New York city. He is famous for his confrontational approach, pouncing on unsuspecting pedestrians and shooting them at very close quarters using an off camera flash.
There is usually a sense of movement in his pictures created by a slower than normal shutter speed combined with a much faster burst of bright flash light. This ghosting effect and the strange distortion of the wide angle lens is typical of his street style. http://tallisgcsephotography.weebly.com/street-photography.html |
Looking DownPosition yourself in a place which allows you to look down on events and objects below. You could ask a classmate to walk by beneath you or you could simply capture the patterns, lines and textures that you see.
This picture was taken on a walk way at the highest point, students are walking on both levels, on the walk way and below the walk way. Set of pictures with the Cannon point and shoot. These pictures were a quick easy shoot. I didn't take much time taking these photos.
They are taken at different shots some diagonal and some birds eye view. |
